I picked up a copy of South Park Season 15 this morning, entered the Xbox LIVE bonus code, and was able to download and play Tenorman’s Revenge instantly, three days before the official release! Quick review: this game is harder than I expected (and pretty damn funny).

The plot is fairly simple: Scott Tenorman has stolen the boy’s Xbox 360 hard drive, traveled to the future, created an army of evil Ginger robots, and now is set to exact his revenge on the foul-mouthed foursome and the town of South Park.

To stop the threat, the boys must work together platforming their way through 22 stages split into 11 worlds, including Hell, Heaven, Future South Park, Pip’s Water park, Tynacorp, and more. It will require precision jumping, rope swinging, and the destruction of Tenorman’s underlings (as well as a few other surprises) to get back their precious game saves and perhaps save the world.

• There is a level set in the Peruvian jungle that features a pan flute soundtrack and roaming giant hamsters.
• Most enemies are defeated by jumping on top of them, but some require special tactics to take down.
• Each one of the boys has a special ability: Cartman belly-bounces to break through walls, Kenny jumps extra high, Kyle uses his ginger hair to break shields, and Stan uses a football projectile.
• A special power-up turns the boys into their superhero alter-egos: Mysterion, Toolshed, the Human Kite, and the Coon.
• There are over 80 paths to take through the game, which can last “between an estimated three to eight hours”.
• Players can compete for leaderboard prestige by going on speed-runs and collecting “time particles” that reduce your overall completion time.

Update: IGN has a pretty sweet video of actual gameplay with developer commentary from South Park Studios. Confirmed foes now include ManBearBig, Dr. Mephisto’s multi-assed creations, and Christmas Critters.
