‘Book of Mormon’ tickets for Pantages run go on sale June 10 - latimes.com

Tickets for “The Book of Mormon” at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood will go on sale to the general public starting June 10, the show’s producers announced Wednesday. A daily lottery for discount tickets will also be held during the show’s L.A. run.

Producers of “Mormon” said that tickets for the L.A. engagement will go on sale at 7 a.m. on June 10 at the Pantages box office. Tickets will be available for purchase via Ticketmaster starting the same day at noon, online and by phone at (800) 982-2787.

A pre-sale for American Express cardmembers will begin May 30 at 10 a.m., via Ticketmaster.

Performances of “Mormon” are scheduled to run from Sept. 5 to Nov. 25. The engagement is part of a national tour of the hit musical, which opened on Broadway at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre in 2011.

Tickets for “Mormon” will start at $30 each. A spokesman for the Pantages was not able to provide a full range of ticket prices at this time. In the past, the Pantages has used a dynamic ticket pricing policy, with popular seats and certain performances commanding premium prices.

The daily lottery will be held at the Pantages for a limited number of same-day tickets for $25 each. Organizers said that details of the lottery will be announced at a later date.

South Park fans who have been praying and hoping for someone to finally give them a good South Park game will have to wait a little longer, now that THQ delayed its release to next year.

Gameinformer posted a short blurb on its site confirming THQ’s announcement about the game’s delay. Now the game won’t ship until at least 2013, sometime during the company’s fourth fiscal quarter. An official release date hasn’t been set.

I went to a midnight showing of Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator and saw Matt listed in the “Special Thanks” section of the credits! Both Trey and Matt are thanked in the same section for Borat and Matt is thanked in Brüno as well. No idea how Matt contributed to the project, but hilarious film either way!

Does The Upcoming South Park RPG Have a Name? - Game Trailers:

Not officially, as neither Obsidian Entertainment nor THQ has confirmed as much. But according to a recent listing on Xbox Live Marketplace, the game would seem to be carrying ‘The Stick of Truth” wording in its title.

The Xbox.com game listing (now removed) also had a description of the game:

“From the perilous battlefields of the fourth-grade playground, a young hero will rise, destined to be South Park’s savior. From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes an epic quest to become… cool. Introducing South Park: The Stick of Truth.”

The new title could be both a play on the series of fantasy novels The Sword of Truth and a bit of a callback to Make Love, Not Warcraft’s Sword of a Thousand Truths. The page also mentioned offline co-op for up to two players, but nothing is confirmed until Obsidian or THQ have a say.

This is pretty much what it’s like to try to win tickets at The Book of Mormon ticket lottery, it’s actually kind of fun! One funny thing missing is that when someone comes with a date and wins the single last ticket, they have to choose if they want to ditch their date and see it alone or give the ticket back. If the person decides to stick with their date, everyone cheers and gets so excited to have another opportunity to win the last ticket.
